Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected.
River levels are high but stable on the River Thame following heavy rainfall earlier in the week from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of properties, low lying land, and roads is likely today, 28/11/2024. Areas most at risk are properties closest to the river where it passes through Dorchester.
Today is forecast to be mainly dry. River levels are starting to stabilise but may rise again in response to water moving downstream.
We are monitoring the situation. Avoid contact with flood water. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels.
This message will be updated this afternoon (28/11/2024), or as the situation changes.
