Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is expected. River levels remain high on the River Thames as a result of a period of sustained rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property and roads in low lying areas is expected today (10/01/24), in the Staines and Egham areas. Levels are expected to reach those seen in January 2003. However, levels are not forecast to reach those seen in February 2014 and widespread property flooding is therefore not expected. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days as water moves through the system. The forecast is dry today and overnight, but the cold snap will cause icy conditions. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated later today, 10/01/24, or as the situation changes.
