Flood warning

Property flooding is expected.

River levels are high but starting to stabilise on the River Thames following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue overnight, 27/11/24. Areas most at risk are properties located closest to the River Thames in the Kelmscott and Buscot Wick areas.

This evening and overnight are forecast to be mainly dry. River levels are expected to continue to rise slowly downstream of Radcot overnight, while levels further upstream are expected to remain high and stable.

We are monitoring the situation and operating our weirs to manage flood risk. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 28/11/24, or earlier as the situation changes.
