Flood alert

River levels have fallen below the Flood Alert threshold but remain high. Catchments are saturated and rivers are very responsive to rainfall. Further rainfall is forecast, so the risk of flooding remains.
Areas most at risk include roads around Hillfarrance, Bradford on Tone, Lane End Road at Ham and the Creech St Michael to Henlade road. Bradford on Tone ringbanks may be bankfull.
Sunday will see further showers passing through the area and these may be heavy for short periods. A further band of rain that will bring persistent and heavy rainfall will arrive through Monday afternoon.
We are continuing to closely monitor the rainfall and river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Refer to the local authority website for road closure information. This message will be updated by 1:00PM on 09 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
