Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high at Yoxall river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall over the past 48 hours. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Flooding is affecting properties in Coton Close, Church Road, Micklehome Drive and isolated properties along the A38 near Alrewas.
We expect river levels to remain high throughout today 22/01/2021 and overnight. No further rain is forecast and we are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated this afternoon, 22/01/2021, or as the situation changes.
