Flood warning

River levels remain high but are slowly falling along the River Trent. The forecast is for the river level to continue falling slowly through today(23/01/21). However, the risk of flooding remains. Wintry showers are forecast over the weekend but we are not expecting any impacts on river levels. We are continuing to closely monitor the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated later this evening (23/01/21) or if the situation changes.
