Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are rising at the Gainsborough river gauge as a result of high tides coinciding with high river levels. Flooding is possible on the high tide at 04:45 on 07/01/2024 at the Gainsborough river gauge. Areas most at risk are Beckingham Marsh and the A156 and the A631 Beckingham to Gainsborough Road.

We expect river levels to remain high until after the high tide at 04:45 on 07/01/2024.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and patrolling watercourses in the area.

Please be prepared to move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and have a bag ready with vital items like medicines and insurance documents.

This message will be updated by 06:30 tomorrow morning, 07/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
