Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Stoke river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall and further rain is forecast overnight. Consequently, flooding of property is possible, starting at around 07:30 am tomorrow, Sunday 28/07/2019. Flooding may affect properties around Campbell Road, Lonsdale Street, Hyde Park Trading Estate, Lytton Street & Staffordshire University campus.
Further rainfall is forecast on Sunday and we currently expect river levels to rise until around midday tomorrow. This flood warning is issued as a precautionary measure however, as the amount of rain expected and the exact location and timing of this rainfall is uncertain. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please stay aware in case further alerts or warnings are issued.
