Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Shardlow river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Areas most at risk are Twyford, including the Twyford Village access road, and the A5132 between Willington, Barrow, and Meadow Lane.

Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.

Please turn off gas, electricity and water and avoid contact with flood water.
