Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are high but peaking following recent heavy rainfall. Flooding is expected on Wednesday, 01/01/2025. Areas most at risk include properties on Mill Gate, Marfield Quarry in Masham and properties off the A6108, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. River levels are expected to begin dropping this evening, however standing water may remain in fields and on roads. Our incident room is open and we are liaising with emergency services and local authorities. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Activate any property flood protection products you may have. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 12am on Thursday 02/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
