Flooding expected. Take action now.
Heavy rain has fallen over the River Welland catchment. This has caused the River Welland to rise and low lying areas near to the River Welland in Stamford are already flooded. Further rainfall is expected overnight tonight (Thursday 4th Jan) into tomorrow morning which will cause river levels to remain high. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by 18:00 on 05/01/24, or before if the situation changes.
