Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising rapidly on the River Winniford due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include North Chideock, Fairfax and Main Street Chideock.
Flooding is expected at North Chideock, Fairfax and Main Street Chideock from 1:00 PM on 21/02/2024. Further rainfall is forecast this morning. River levels are rising rapidly at the Chideock gauge.
We will continue to monitor levels closely. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 8:00 PM on 21/02/2024, or as the situation changes.
