Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Frisby river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property and farmland is possible from today 06/01/2025, until 08/01/2025. Areas most at risk are Thrussington, and parts of Ratcliffe on Wreake, including East Goscote, Rearsby and Brooksby.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to rise until midnight on 07/01/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 11:00 tomorrow morning, 07/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
