Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high at the Frisby river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding to property and farmland remains through today into the early hours of tomorrow morning, 07/01/2025. Areas most at risk are Thrussington, and parts of Ratcliffe on Wreake, including East Goscote, Rearsby and Brooksby. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
Activate your flood plan if you have not done so already and follow advice from the emergency services.
Please avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 17:00 this evening, 07/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
