Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Mordiford and Ross-On-Wye river gauges as a result of heavy rainfall and snowmelt. We expect flooding to affect areas in and around Hereford and Ross on Wye including Wilton area.
Predicted peaks:- Mordiford 5.00 to 5.10m this morning 07/01/25, Ross on Wye 4.0m to 4.2m this Morning 07/01/25.
No further significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
