Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Old Wye Bridge River gauge following heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, 08/12/24. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in North Hereford including Greyfriars area. Predicted peak:- Old Wye Bridge 5.1m to 5.4m Sunday evening, 08/12/24.
Further showers are forecast over the next 48 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.
This message will be updated by 18:00 on Sunday 08/12/24, or as the situation changes.
