Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Old Wye Bridge river gauge as a result of rapid snowmelt and rain. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected today, 06/01/25. We expect flooding to affect roads in North Hereford including Greyfriars area and the B4399 Holme Lacy Road in Hereford. Predicted peak:- Old Wye Bridge 4.5m to 4.9m this evening 06/01/25.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and or Local Authorities.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
