Flood warning

High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.
Flooding is expected when river levels are at their highest from 10:00 PM on 16/10/2024.
Areas most at risk include the area adjacent to the North bank of the River Wyre at Kirkland Bridge covering properties on The Avenue and the A6.
Weather conditions are expected to improve during the morning.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and checking flood defences.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so.
