River levels in the River Yeo have now receded below flood warning level. A flood alert remains in force for the Barnstaple, Braunton, Ilfracombe and Combe Martin area.
Catchments are saturated after today’s rainfall. Further rain is forecast overnight on the 21st January, but this is not predicted to cause river levels to rise significantly.
Standing water is likely to remain on low lying fields and roads, and care should be taken when driving.
The Environment Agency will continue to monitor river levels and update this message as the situation changes.
