Flooding possible. Be prepared.
This message has been issued because some minor flooding to low lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely from now until tomorrow morning, Tuesday 7th January. River levels are responding to the recent rainfall. Areas most at risk are low lying roads and riverside areas on the River Box from Little Waldingfield to Thorrington Street, including Boxford, and on the River Brett from Cockfield to Higham, including Hadleigh. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. The forecast is for continued unsettled wet weather until later today. Take care on riverside footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message tomorrow morning, Tuesday 7th January, or as the situation changes.
