Flood warning

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this afternoon.
Flooding is expected from 2:00 PM on 15/07/2025.
Areas most at risk include Rivers in Ambleside, Rothay Road, Compston Road, Greenbank Road, Millans Park, Kirkfield, Fisher Beck, Loughrigg Park.
Weather conditions are expected to improve this evening.
We are closely monitoring the situation and checking rivers for blockages.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and 
avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
