As a result of heavy showers overnight and through the afternoon rivers levels have remained persistently high. A further band of rain is forecast overnight Saturday 21/12/19 into Sunday morning. In response river levels are forecast to rise through the early morning and are expected to peak in Robertsbridge around lunchtime on Sunday 22/12/19. Residents should remain vigilant. We are checking rivers to ensure they are free from blockages. The defences are manned in Robertsbridge and are ready to be deployed should they be required.
This message will be updated as conditions require.
