Strong winds and moderate waves will continue for much of the week ahead. However, tide levels on Wednesday afternoon are forecast to be lower than that experienced Tuesday afternoon by almost one metre. None, or minimal, flood impacts are expected. Including adjustments for the weather, we estimate the water level at 14:15 Wednesday afternoon 8/12/2021 will be 5.09 metres Chart Datum (2.35 mAOD) at Littlehampton. After Thursday morning’s tide, each subsequent tide through the next week will be lower again. We will reissue this message if the risk of flooding to properties increases.
