River levels are rising at the Slad Steanbridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible from overnight tonight, 04/12/23. We expect flooding to affect low lying loand adjacent to Slad Brook. Locations near The Vatch and Libbys Drive may start to see some impacts.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours with further heavy rainfall Wednesday overnight into Thursday. We expect river levels to remain high until Thursday 07/12/23.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
This message will be updated by 10:00 on 05/12/23, or as the situation changes.
