Flood alert

High river levels may lead to flooding.

River levels are high on parts of the Sor Brook and Bloxham Brook. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 9 February 2026, especially near near the Lower Grove Mill on Sor Brook. Showers are forecast for today (9 February 2026), with more prolonged rain this evening. There will then be further showers overnight. Levels are falling slowly but could respond to further rainfall.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River Levels Online for updates on current river levels.

This message will be updated by 12:00 on 10 February 2026, or as the situation changes.
