Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is expected over the high tide on Saturday morning, 3rd March. High water at Truro is at 6.15am, times of high water will vary along the coast. Large waves along the coast combined with south easterly winds up to Force 7 are forecast to cause flooding up to 3 hours either side of high tide.
Locations at risk include Newham Road, Garras Wharf, Malpas Road, Boscawen Park, Lemon Quay and the A390.
The Truro tidal gate will be closed. Operational staff will be checking defences and gates.
Please stay away from these areas where possible. Do not drive through flood water or waves. The current cold weather conditions are also likely to increase hazardous conditions along the coast.
