Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Flooding is possible all high tides from Tuesday AM to Thursday AM inclusive.
Areas particularly at risk include exposed coastal areas of Plymouth Sound including Cawsand, Kingsand and The Hoe, Millbrook, and low lying areas on the Tidal Lynher, Tamar, Tavy, Plym and Yealm estuaries.
The high tides at Plymouth on Tuesday PM are 19:11, Wednesday AM 07:24, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide levels are forecast to peak at 3.01mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.44 and 0.57 metres above tide table level. Force 4 to 6 E - SE winds and offshore wave heights of up to 2.9m are forecast over the high tide.
Coastal conditions should ease for Thursday evening's high tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.
