Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide on the evening of Thursday 5th February
Areas at risk include exposed coastal areas of Plymouth Sound including Cawsand, Kingsand and The Hoe, Millbrook and low lying areas on the Tidal Lynher, Tamar, Tavy, Plym and Yealm estuaries. The high tide at Plymouth on Thursday evening is 20:22 , times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.68m AOD . Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.5 and 0.7 metres above tide table level. Force 5 southerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 2m are forecast over the high tide. Coastal conditions should ease for Friday morning’s high tide.
