Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 07 February 2026 .Catchments are saturated and rivers very responsive to rain
. The Rivers Parrett and Isle have risen back above Alert level following overnight rain. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near these rivers, with low lying land and roads most affected, particularly around Ashford Mill, Isle Brewers, Fivehead, the Norton sub Hambdon to Stratton road, the A356 and the B3165 at Chiselborough and the B3168 at Ilford Bridges. The lower River Parrett is forecast to be bankfull and overtopping could occur. Isolated showers are forecast for today, Saturday 7 February, and Sunday, but rainfall totals for the weekend are expected to be lower than recent days.
We are closely monitoring the situation . We are checking debris screens, bridges and flood defences.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . Refer to the local authority website for road closure information.
