Flood warning

River levels are high on the Rivers Eden and Caldew due to Storm Isha.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Rivers Eden and Caldew, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Devonshire Walk, West Coast Mainline, Bitts Park, Cricket Club and The Sheepmount.
Flooding is affecting Devonshire Walk, West Coast Mainline, Bitts Park, Cricket Club and The Sheepmount from 9:30 AM on 22/01/2024.
Further light rainfall is forecast throughout the morning.
River levels are expected to remain high.
We will continue to monitor river levels and weather conditions closely.
Consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
