Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood Warning

River levels have risen at the Denton Holme river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying roads and farmland is expected this evening and overnight. Areas at risk are Devonshire Walk, West Coast Mainline, Bitts Park, Cricket Club and The Sheepmount.
We expect river levels to remain high this evening and overnight.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have closed flood defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
