Flooding expected. Take action now.
This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is possible from now and into tomorrow, Thursday 23rd May. Areas most at risk are riverside properties in Haverhill and Sturmer, and the A1307 and A143. River levels are now falling but will remain high into the evening of Wednesday 22nd May. The forecast is for further potentially heavy rainfall overnight and into the morning of Thursday 23rd May. Flood water is dangerous. Don't put yourself or others at risk. We are monitoring the situation and not expecting the situation to escalate. We will update this message by 10am on Thursday 23rd May, or as the situation changes.
