Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides on Monday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 1 hour either side of Monday afternoon's tide at 13:00 on 28/09/2026..
The weather increases tide table values by 0.5 m. Total forecast tide is 6.90 metres Chart Datum (3.63 mAOD) at Shoreham. Light North Easterly Force 3 wind. The tide will come close to the top of walls and slipways in Shoreham Town. Minor impact flooding will affect Sussex Yacht Club. Riverbank houseboats will be raised higher than normal, making access to them temporarily more difficult. Tuesday's tide at 01:15 29/09/2026 is forecast to be 16 cm lower (3.47 mAOD). Flood impacts should reduce‚ but could return on Tuesday afternoon's tide at 13:30 29/09/2026.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid beaches and coastal promenades, which may be flooded .
