Flood alert

River levels remain high, but are falling, on the Tidal River Ouse due to heavy rainfall associated with Storms Isha and Jocelyn. Areas most at risk include the tidal foreshore and agricultural land adjacent to the river from the A63 near Selby, to the Yokefleet, Blacktoft and Faxfleet areas. Levels are expected to stay high for a few days. We will continue to monitor the river levels. Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00am on Saturday 27/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
