River levels are high on the Tidal River Ouse as a result of a combination of high tides and recent rainfall. Areas most at risk include the tidal foreshore and agricultural land adjacent to the river from the A63 near Selby to the Yokefleet, Blacktoft and Faxfleet areas. We have closed locks and flood gates in the area. We expect levels to continue to fall slowly with the tides over the next few days. We continue to monitor levels closely. People in these areas should consider taking action now. We urge people to take care and not drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 21:00 on Friday 03/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
