Severe flooding expected. Take action immediately.

Severe flood warning

Severe flooding is expected today and flood water is expected to be deep and fast flowing. 
Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 . 
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Upper Dorset Frome, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Casterbridge Trading Estate, London Road, Mill Street, London Close, Durnover Court and Kings Road in Dorchester. Levels on the Dorset Frome are still rising rapidly due to recent rainfall. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . 
This message will be updated by 5:00PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
