Upper Frome at Maiden Newton

Flood Warning

River levels remain high at the Maiden Newton river gauge as a result of continued heavy rainfall. Further heavy rainfall associated with Storm Dennis is expected over the weekend. Consequently, there is a significant risk of flooding of flooding for areas in Hooke, Toller Porcorum, Toller Fratrum, Cattistock, Higher Frome Vauchurch, Frome Vauchurch, and Maiden Newton. There is more rain forecast over the coming days and so we expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. You are advised not to drive through flood water. This message will be updated as the situation develops.
