Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Rain is forecast from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday. From 22:00 on 18/02/2026, minor flooding could affect gardens of isolated properties near Bridge Cottage on the B2028, and on Sloop Lane. From 04:00 on 19/02/2026, minor flooding could affect Fletching Mill Bridge, Sharpsbridge, Barcombe Mills Road, the Anchor Inn, and gardens in Barcombe Mills. If more rain falls than forecast, isolated property flooding could be possible. Only isolated showers are forecast Thursday afternoon, Friday, and over the weekend. River levels should begin to fall by 10:00 on 19/02/2026 in Ardingly, and 18:00 on 19/02/2026 in Barcombe. River levels should return near to normal by Friday evening. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February, with further periods of flood risk possible. We are operating structures at Pimms Lock and Barcombe to reduce flood risk. Avoid roads that flood, including Barcombe Mills Road. This message will be updated by 20:00 on 19/02/2026.
