River levels have peaked and are falling on Wash Dike following heavy rainfall earlier this evening, Thursday 5th December. No further significant rainfall is expected overnight and river levels are expected to continue to fall into tomorrow morning and therefore this Flood Warning is no longer in force.
Further rainfall and strong winds associated with Storm Darragh are forecast from tomorrow afternoon and into Saturday which may cause further river response. We are closely monitoring the situation and will re-issue this Flood Warning if necessary.
