Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides over the next two days may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 7:30pm to 1:00AM on 23/1/26. Also the second tide from 7:00AM to 1pm on the 24/1/26.
Areas most at risk include Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogden Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and Chiswell. There will be large swells expected at all exposed coastal locations with potential for debris to be thrown with the overtopping waves. Costal areas at West Bay and Chesil beach from Wyke Regis to Portland are particularly at risk during these times.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded The causeway between Portland and Weymouth may be effected.
