River levels have risen in response to recent heavy rainfall and remain high.
Flooding is expected this evening and into tonight, 23/09/2024.
Areas most at risk are Hydrus Drive, Phoenix Close, Columba Drive, Willow Bank Walk, Omega Court, Nebular Court, Brookside Walk, Brook Street, Capshill Avenue, Waterdell, Woodman Close, Stepping Stone Place, Linwood Grove, Billington Road and Lindler Court in Leighton Buzzard.
Further rainfall is expected this evening which will keep river levels high.
Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger.
We are monitoring the situation.
