Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are high in response to heavy rainfall yesterday and overnight. Flooding is still possible for the next few days while the rivers drain away from high peak levels. Areas most at risk are Hydrus Drive, Phoenix Close, Columba Drive, Willow Bank Walk, Omega Court, Nebular Court, Brookside Walk, Brook Street, Capshill Avenue, Waterdell, Woodman Close, Stepping Stone Place, Linwood Grove, Billington Road and Lindler Court in Leighton Buzzard. The forecast is for light showers for rest of today and tomorrow. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Saturday 28 September 2024.
