Flooding expected. Take action now.
The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.35 and gradually falling. Water will enter Currymoor via Hookbridge spillway whilst above 7.45m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.23m and gradually falling. Cutts Road and New Road remain closed. The A361 is closed after Athelney spillway has been running. We are pumping at Northmoor and Saltmoor and have additional mobile pumps at both stations. Pumping at Currymoor has resumed and will continue as river levels allow.
After overnight and morning rainfall, Sunday (22/02/2026), rain eases in Somerset for the rest of the day. Monday forecast to start dry, before further periods of rain later, but not forecast to bring high totals. Tuesday and Wednesday is expected to bring drier conditions.
We are monitoring the situation closely and checking floodbanks, spillways and sluices. Please do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 1pm on 23/02/2026, or as the situation changes.
