Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising in response to Storm Babet. Flooding is expected during the night and into tomorrow morning. Areas most at risk are Hamerton Road, Willow Farm Close, Spires End, High Street and North Road in Alconbury Weston, Great North Road, Mill Road, Brookside, Sharps Lane, High Street and Rusts Lane in Alconbury, Low Road in Little Stukeley, Thrapston Road in Brampton.
If you have property level resilience, you are advised to install it now. Further light is expected over the next 24 hours which will keep river levels high [and could also lead to some surface water problems]. Be ready to take action to protect your property if flooding is expected. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message by 9am tomorrow, 21/10/2023.
