Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are beginning to fall at the Hamerton river gauge after the heavy rainfall this morning. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 8 hours. We expect river levels water levels to rise again and remain high until tomorrow morning, 29/01/21. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. We expect flooding to affect Hamerton, High Street, Willow Farm Close, Hamerton Road, Spires End and North Road in Alconbury Weston, Great North Road, Mill Road, Brookside, Sharps Lane, High Street and Maple End in Alconbury, and Huntingdon Racecourse. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water and stay aware in case further warnings are issued.This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 29/01/21, or as the situation changes.
