Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels today may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible on 18 December 2025 . 
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Cannington Brook, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Huntworth Business Park Rhyne, Stockmoor Rhyne, Hamp Brook and Durleigh Brook in Bridgwater, Cannington Brook at Cannington, Combwich Brook at Combwich and the Stogursey area.
Flooding is expected this evening with rising river levels following the rainfall today.
Weather conditions are expected to improve later this evening with a dry day forecast for Friday. 
We are closely monitoring the situation and clearing blockages from debris screens. 
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water and monitor local water levels and weather conditions. 
This message will be updated by 11:00AM on 19 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
