Flood warning

The Bristol Avon is reacting to heavy rainfall over the weekend and levels are expected to cause flooding overnight. Flooding is expected from 4:00 AM on 25/11/2024 through until late Monday afternoon.
Areas most at risk include The Shallows and Mead Lane, Saltford. Flooding is also forecast to affect the Riverside Cottages area near Hanham and properties in Swineford and Keynsham if the river continues to rise.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and clearing debris from weed screens.
Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
This message will be updated by 07:30 AM on 25/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
