Property flooding is expected. River levels on the Chertsey Bourne are rising rapidly as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected overnight, 4 January 2024, especially in the Guildford Street and Free Prae Road areas. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours with a drier forecast tomorrow.

We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers.
