Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Clay Coton river gauge following heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. However, forecasts suggest it could rise again overnight. Flooding is affecting properties in Cold Ashby Road in Clay Coton and Yelvertoft Village, including High Street, Swinnertons Lane, Elkins Close, Elkington Road, Bridgend and Ashwells Lane and along Lilbourne Lane.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing weed screens and actively checking river levels and the weather forecast..
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and stay aware in case further warnings are issued.
