Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Clay Coton gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is possible later this morning and throughout today 18/02/24. We expect flooding to affect properties in Cold Ashby Road in Clay Coton and Yelvertoft Village, including High Street, Swinnertons Lane, Elkins Close, Elkington Road, Bridgend and Ashwells Lane and along Lilbourne Lane.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to rise until later this afternoon and remain high throughout today. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.
Please call 999 if in immediate danger. Activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers.
This message will be updated tomorrow 19/02/24, or as the situation changes. Flood warning and alerts will be issued in advance based on the latest forecasts for the next 24 hours. Updates will be issued at least every 24 hours.
